The Wedding of Katie and David

Friday, January 28, 2011

On a cool, crisp autumn day, Katie and David became husband and wife in a beautiful ceremony at Canterbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham, AL.  They were surrounded by their friends and loved ones, and even their sweet dog made a special appearance!  Brad and Celeste, the Sweet & Simple Team for Jim Little Photography, captured every moment of the big day!

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the incredible Alabama Theatre/Hill Center in downtown Birmingham.  The elegance of the historic theatre made for an unforgettable evening.  Katie and David were an absolute joy to work with, and we wish them many, many years of wedded bliss!

Their wedding vendors included:
Flowers: Katie’s mom provided the alter and church flowers and Uncut Flowers the bouquets and boutonnieres.
Dress: David’s Bridal
Tux: Men’s Warehouse
Food and Cake: Catering 2 U

The Wedding of Caitlin and Jeff

Friday, January 21, 2011

October 23, 2010 was a magical day for Caitlin and Jeff.  Caitlin glowed as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm at Covenant Presbyterian Church to marry her groom.  The day was filled with family, friends and a whole lot of fun.  Jim Little Photography’s husband and wife Sweet & Simple team, Brad and Celeste, were there to capture it all!

Their gorgeous ceremony was followed by a fun-filled reception at the Matt Jones Art Gallery, where Caitlin and Jeff danced the night away with their loved ones.  JAMM Entertainment kept the party going, while the beautiful art in the gallery made a perfect backdrop for the celebration.

Their vendors included:
Bride’s Dress – LaRaines Bridal
Tuxes – Men’s Wearhouse
Cakes – Pastry Arts
Videographer – Capture Creative
Hair/Make-Up – Janie Recknor
Bridesmaids Dresses – AnnTaylor.com
Flowers – Flower Stems

Creative ways to share your photos.

Think outside the box to find creative ways to share your photos and have a keepsake for many years to come.

Beyond the basic wedding album, see the ideas below that will make your photos memories live longer. Call Jim Little Photography to help you preserve your special memories.

Enlarge a Special Detail

A slice of the wedding that’s blown up to larger-than-life-size can dress up a wall like a piece of art. (Depending on the photo quality, try 11″ x 14″ or larger.) What to choose: a portrait of your bouquet, candles on a table, your bridal shoes. Black-and-white is especially effective. Take the print to a pro to be matted and framed (white and black are always safe bets). Hang in a niche or over a bureau.

Publish the Story of You

Imagine your wedding as a coffee-table book. Design teams at custom publishers will lay out your shots and vary the pacing (pages of the wedding party followed by a spread of the wedding site), then bind them into a sleek hardcover book. If your photographer doesn’t offer the service, contact a manufacturer like GraphiStudio.

Create Some Shelf Life

Photo display ledges and rails, available at stores like Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel and from companies like Exposures, let you create a mini gallery. For a unified look, select all black-and-white prints, or use identical frames to give any group visual cohesion. Don’t limit yourself to wedding photos; shots from your honeymoon lend interest. A framed invitation adds charm. Perfect display spots: a hallway, family room, or powder room.
