Friday, December 9, 2011The Wedding of Caitlin and Jeff
Friday, January 21, 2011October 23, 2010 was a magical day for Caitlin and Jeff. Caitlin glowed as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm at Covenant Presbyterian Church to marry her groom. The day was filled with family, friends and a whole lot of fun. Jim Little Photography’s husband and wife Sweet & Simple team, Brad and Celeste, were there to capture it all!
Their gorgeous ceremony was followed by a fun-filled reception at the Matt Jones Art Gallery, where Caitlin and Jeff danced the night away with their loved ones. JAMM Entertainment kept the party going, while the beautiful art in the gallery made a perfect backdrop for the celebration.
Their vendors included:
Bride’s Dress – LaRaines Bridal
Tuxes – Men’s Wearhouse
Cakes – Pastry Arts
Videographer – Capture Creative
Hair/Make-Up – Janie Recknor
Bridesmaids Dresses – AnnTaylor.com

2010 Summer Wedding Season
Friday, June 4, 2010Jim Little Photography has been busy! The summer 2010 wedding season is here! We have seven weddings in May behind us and eight more ahead for June. We can cover that many weddings and not miss any wedding day memories because we have four additional staff photographers to help us out. Brad & Celeste shoot our Simple & Sweet wedding plan and Keri and Peter are on hand throughout the year to help out too. So, if you are looking ahead to a wedding date in 2011, now is the time to reserve your wedding date with us. Jim and Brad are meeting our couples at our Homewood Gallery location, 2809 Crescent Avenue, Homewood, AL 35209 to show off the latest storybook-style albums, slide shows, and our large gallery display of unique digital art photographs.
We’ve also been shooting a lot of engagement and bridal photo sessions in addition to our weddings. Engagement or bridal shoots can be scheduled in and around the Birmingham area for either an ‘on location’ or ‘in studio’ session. Again, thanks to our awesome staff for all of your help with our portrait sessions too!
Congratulations to Kevin & Melissa
Melissa chose the historic Alabama Theatre for a perfect location for her formal bridal portraits. Their wedding in late May was at Dawson Memorial with a beautiful reception at The Club.

To See Or Not To See
Saturday, March 14, 2009When in the course of planning a wedding, couples are faced with the question “Are you going to see each other before the ceremony?” Lots of couples are quick to answer “No” when maybe, just maybe, “Yes” could be the preferred answer.
The Tradition – Not To See
The tradition of “hiding” the bride from the groom, prior to the wedding comes from the days of arranged marriages when a wedding was merely a business deal between fathers. Things like love and attraction on the part of the bride and groom had nothing to do with it. The groom saw the bride, for the first time, when she walked down the aisle and a veil covered her face. After the minister pronounced them man and wife, the groom then lifted the veil, not only to kiss the bride, but also to see the face he would be waking up to for the rest of his life.
