The Wedding of Amanda and David

Friday, November 12, 2010

Amanda and David were married in July at Samford University’s Reid Chapel with a reception at Vulcan Park, Birmingham, Alabama.  A special thank you to Meghan Cease with M. Elizabeth Events…she is a wedding planner who “pours personal touches of your personality into every moment”. Her expertise helped to make every detail of their wedding fall into place perfectly!

David and Amanda’s special day is featured on M. Eliazabeth’s blog as follows…

“Following a beautiful ceremony at Samford University’s Reid Chapel, guests were invited to celebrate with the couple, high atop Red Mountain, at Vulcan Park and Museum.  All the flowers and decor was created by Dorothy McDaniel to follow Amanda’s traditional, Southern vision.

During the reception, guests were free to wander through the Vulcan Park Museum as they enjoyed their dinner catered by Five Star Event Catering.  Guests were raving about the excellent service and delicious food.  In addition to the catering, Amanda also chose to have Five Star Event Catering design her wedding cakes. Guests danced the night away to 3rd Generation, a fabulous mo-town band from Montgomery.  At the end of the evening, the bride and groom went to the top of Vulcan to toss the bouquet and garter. As Amanda and David departed the reception through a shower of rose petals, James Coats of Coats Classic Cars was there with Helen, a 1954 Rolls Royce, to take them to Ross Bridge Resort.  Congratulations Amanda and David!  Thank you again to all the vendors for doing such a wonderful job!”

I was excited to finally work with Jim Little Photography.  He did a fantastic job capturing a truly lovely day.  Check out some of his beautiful work!”

Photography by Jim Little, Peter, and Keri with Jim Little Photography

Josh and Kayley were married at Reid Chapel, Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama with a reception at The Loft at Flower Stems, Birmingham, Alabama

Kayley Tatum and Josh Hoyle met on the 4th of July, 2008 in Orange Beach through mutual friends and the fireworks began.  After fun in the sun they said good-bye, but knew it was only the beginning.  Josh was a senior at Jacksonville State University and Kayley was a junior at Samford University.  Many trips were made between Birmingham and Jacksonville during the next year.  After Josh’s graduation, he knew he wanted to start the next phase of his life with Kayley as his wife.  After finding the perfect ring for the perfect girl, he knew he wanted to propose at the same place it all began exactly one year earlier.  Josh also wanted both families present for the proposal.  The Hoyle’s and the Tatum’s were in Orange Beach vacationing and had scheduled a photo-shoot on the beach for family portraits.  Little did Kayley know that Josh was going to propose and it would all be captured in pictures.  Kayley was completely stunned when Josh got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.  Through tears of happiness she said, YES!!!

Their special wedding day vendors were:

Wedding Gown- Diane’s Formal Affair, Jasper, Alabama
