An important part of my job as a wedding planner is to go through the vendor contracts my client wishes to enter into an agreement with as well as any important policies and procedures. Knowing and understanding on the front end what you get for your money and what the vendor expects are key to having no surprises on the wedding day. The Picture Perfect Face

Often times while planning her big day, a bride can forget about the little details that can affect the big picture in a dramatic way. I am speaking about the hair and makeup applications she will be wearing the entire day.

The makeup and application chosen is a very important part of the bridal ensemble. After all, it will be forever captured in her wedding photos and video. You may feel your ability to style your own locks and apply your own facial coloring is best left to you, but allowing the professionals to perform these tasks is money well worth spent. Besides, it is supposed to be a day all about you! But don’t forget your ladies… hair and makeup together time is very special. Meet Rachael Grammer

GrammerWedding061690

Jim has had the honor of photographing Rachael and Robert’s wedding June 19, 1990, at Hartselle United Methodist Church in Hartselle, AL. Have a look back to some of her “real wedding” details…….My wedding gown was purchased at Southern Bride and I made my own veil. My bouquet and bouts were done by my Aunt Bee from Chattanooga. The other florals & church décor was done by my MIL who is a retired florist from Hartselle. And our photographer… Jim Little Photography! There was no hair or makeup stylist, videographer, or limo service. We had a simple wedding but it was a wonderful day that I will always treasure. My two much younger sisters were my maids of honor. Rebecca, the older of the two, was almost 10 at the time going on 25 and kept correcting Jim during the day and trying to tell him what to do and how to do it. Jim told me she would be perfect for his son because he needed someone to keep him in line! Rebecca now helps me with wedding day coordination. She and I work so well together.

Wedding Videography – Capturing the Emotion

By now, I’m sure most of you have had an opportunity to see the video coverage of a couple and their wedding party dancing down the aisle to “Forever” by Chris Brown. One could not help but feel the energy and genuine love in the air while watching it. Photography can capture those images forever but videography is the only way to capture the emotion.
